Fairburn, Ga. -- On Wednesday, 247Sports made its way to Langston Hughes High School, located just west of Atlanta. Despite being only a fourth-year program, there are a handful of FBS prospects there, including touted defensive end D'Andre Walker.
2015 DE D'Andre Walker is approaching two dozen offers.
In this Road Report, we take a quick look at the school's top talents.
*D'Andre Walker, DE -- Walker is the biggest prize right now at Langston Hughes. A 6-feet-3, 205-pound standout that has shown excellent explosiveness off the edge, he already has accumulated more than 20 offers.
Five schools stand out -- Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia and Louisville.
The Bulldogs would seem to have an edge early. He already has visited Georgia twice and his uncle, with whom Walker is tight, is a Bulldogs fan. He also has been to Alabama. Look for Walker to visit the Gators and Seminoles this summer.
*Montavious Atkinson, OLB/S -- This is a 2015 player whose stock has risen quickly. Southern California recently offered, and Mississippi State, Missouri and Georgia State have followed. Atkinson could play outside linebacker or safety.
He's a linebacker at Langston Hughes, but thinks he may be better-suited for the secondary in college. Atkinson has yet to visit any schools but might take some trips with Walker, who is a good friend.
*Keion Davis, RB -- Interest in Davis, a 6-feet-1, 185-pound back, has only recently started to pick up. Earlier this week, Mississippi State offered. He also claims offers from Georgia Tech, Marshall and Georgia State. Last season was his first at running back, and Davis rushed for nearly 1,000 yards.
Davis accelerates well, appears to have good top-end speed and is deceptively powerful as a runner. We also like his one-cut ability.
ILB Kalil Gray has two offers.
*Kalil Gray, ILB -- The 6-feet, 217-pound Gray claims offers from Ball State and Georgia State, and the nearby team probably has an edge at the moment. Kent State also is showing interest. Gray is a little bit undersized, but packs a pretty good punch.
His Coaches say he is getting faster, and added that he has improved his body a good bit since last season.
*Jahlil Mathis-Ellis, OG/DT -- The 6-feet-3, 305-pounder has offers from South Alabama and Georgia State as an offensive guard. Louisville stopped by the school Wednesday to check on him, and it sounds like the Cards could be close to offering -- but as a defensive tackle.
If Louisville offers, the Cards probably would move to the top. Right now, though, he's pretty open.
*Bingo Morton Jr., WR/DB -- Morton, who is 6-feet-1, 180 pounds, could play receiver, cornerback or safety in college. Right now, he has offers from Furman, Georgia State and Old Dominion. Those programs like him at receiver.
Kentucky is another team to watch. The Wildcats are showing a lot of interest. They like Morton in the secondary.
