Redlands (Calif.) Citrus Valley outside linebacker Jonah Moi is a relative unknown in the recruiting world. The 6-foot-3, 215-pound prep is hearing from Sacramento State and San Jose State at this time.
With a big senior season currently ongoing a little buzz may generate some more interest for the hard-hitting backer.
"I think Sacramento State is working on offering me a scholarship," Moi said. "I've gotten some letters from San Jose State but that's about it. I really am hoping for an offer and even if it's Sacramento State I will be thrilled."
His coaches have commented on his speed and solid tackling ability from the linebacker position. This season he has been working on reading and breaking down plays before they happen.
"I play football, rugby and basketball year round," he said. "I've always loved football, I've been playing since I was about seven years old. I played some defensive end last year but I feel much better at linebacker."
Moi said he is not planning on graduating early.
