The Beavers offered Humphreys during an unofficial visit on Saturday.
On Saturday the Oregon State Beavers hosted one of the top in-state juniors, Connor Humphreys. Heading into the visit the Beavers had shown a high amount of interest in the 6-foot-4, 230-pound junior.
However this weekend they gave Humphreys his first Pac-12 offer.
"After the game they were talking to me and let me know they wanted to offer," Humphreys said. "They said they think I'm going to be one of the best players in the state in my class. They said they love my explosiveness as a defensive end."
The 247Composite four-star has been to Oregon State a few times and talked about his thoughts of Corvallis.
"I love the campus and how close everything is," he said. "The game was a great atmosphere and the crowd gets really into it. Ryan Gunderson (assistant director of player personnel) graduated from Central Catholic and he's been recruiting me. I definitely love the offer, that's big for me. I'm not going to be committing anywhere soon. Once I commit I'm going to be 100-percent solid so I'm going to take my time."
Boise State and Utah have picked up communication lately and could be near an offer, according to Humphreys.
This week Central Catholic will play Tigard which is expected to be a big game. Winner will advance to semi-finals.
