ATLANTA – One of the southeast’s best tournaments got underway on Friday evening as the Wallace Prather Tournament tipped off in Atlanta, Ga. National basketball recruiting analyst William Gunter was on hand to take in the action.

Chris Walker continued his recent strong play with another big effort Friday night.
Standouts
2013 Chris Walker (Florida Rams)
Walker continues to showcase why he is a top 10 player in the country being able to take over ball games at both ends of the floor. In the Florida Rams blowout win over Team Threat, Walker had several monster dunks in transition on passes from teammate Kasey Hill. Defensively his length gave the opposition trouble shooting in the lane by either blocking or altering shots. Walker continues to take his time in recruiting but has a top three of Kansas, Florida and Baylor currently.
2013 Terrance Odonohue (Atlanta Celtics)
The 6-foot-7 power forward is a player who has risen his stock during the spring period. On Friday night, Odonohue owned the glass grabbing double digit rebounds and finishing inside as the Atlanta Celtic’s claimed a victory over Kingdom Elite. Colleges have taken notice of the Tennessee native as well as he picked up two offers from Charlotte and Murray State in recent weeks to go along with interest from UTEP and Clemson.
2013 Harold Givens (Southern Select)
Givens switched teams this weekend joining the Georgia based Southern Select. In his opening game he made a big impression scoring 29 points in a variety of different ways and dominating the glass with 10 rebounds. The 6-foot-7 combo forward picked up a new offer from Southern California this past week to go along with heavy interest from Tennessee.
2013 Dallas Moore (Florida Rams)
Moore got off to a hot start on Friday night knocking down five shots from behind the three point line in the first half of the Florida Rams blow out win. He finished the half with 20 points as he showcased the ability to finish in traffic along with shooting ability.
Notables
2013 Asa Duvall (Team Nashville)
Duvall is an under the radar shooting guard that is quickly gaining the attention he deserves. Following a strong performance at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions, the 6-foot-2 guard picked up offers from Florida Gulf Coast, Appalachian State, Wofford, Mercer and Stetson. On Friday night he continued his hot play knocking down several open three pointers and showing off a high basketball I.Q.
2013 Jamontae Davis (Team Nashville)
Davis did not play this past season due to a broken foot sustained in a car wreck the opening night of his high school season. The 6-foot-7 wing will not be under the radar much longer though as he has the ability to knock down the open three pointer and can beat defenders off the dribble from the wing. Davis does not have any offers just yet but Middle Tennessee State, Murray State and Mercer have all kept an eye on him while Tennessee has gotten involved in the past two weeks.
2013 Tim Quarterman (Atlanta Celtics)
Quarterman has been a hot prospect over the past few weeks and continued that on Friday night by getting into the lane often for short floaters over the defense. Playing in the back court with Solomon Poole does not give Quarterman the opportunity to play his natural point guard position however he showed the ability to make good passes and knock down the open three pointer with a nice stroke. In the last two weeks, Memphis, Georgia, Massachusetts and Tulane all offered recently while South Carolina, Florida State, Georgia Tech and Wake Forest have started to show interest.
And one’s
– Seven-footer Joel Embiid was not at the Bob Gibbons Tournament of Champions with the Florida Rams but showcased his length and athletic ability on Friday night. Embiid moved over to Montverde Academy in September and has since gained interest from DePaul, Mississippi and Central Florida.
– Current Orlando Magic assistant coach and former Cleveland Cavalier Mark Price was in the building to watch his son Hudson on Friday night. The 6-foot-4 wing player currently is receiving interest from Wake Forest, Miami and Stanford as well as a host of mid-majors. He is wide open at the moment.
– Chris Davenport returned to the lineup for the Florida Rams on Friday night after missing the Bob Gibbons Tournament. The 6-foot-8 forward currently holds offers from South Florida and Clemson to go along with interest from Florida State and Florida.
