The 247Composite rating is a proprietary algorithm that compiles prospect "rankings" and "ratings" listed in the public domain by the major media recruiting services. It converts average industry ranks and ratings into a linear composite index. The 247Composite Rating is the industry's most comprehensive and unbiased prospect ranking and is also used to generate 247Sports' Team Recruiting Rankings.
4.) Mobile: 247Sports has led the way with mobile delivery in the team site and recruiting category. In December 2012, mobile accounted for 46.06% of total usage across the 247Sports network, with estimates exceeding greater mobile usage versus desktop by early 2014. 247Sports surpassed 50,000 active paid subscribers throughout the network of 45 team sites.
November, 28: CBSSports.com Strikes Content Partnership Deal With 247Sports.com
CBSSports.com and 247Sports.com, a college sports and recruiting network, are striking a partnership based in part around the latter's content. The Tennessee-based 247Sports.com will provide material to CBSSports.com and become an official partner of the site. Both companies declined to comment, but CBSSports.com logos have begun to show up on 247Sports.com network sites and execs for each camp last night tweeted about the developing deal. CBSSports.com Senior VP & GM Jason Kint tweeted, "@247Sports.com is #1 at recruiting. Thrilled to bring their coverage to @CBSSports.com audience. February 7: 247Sports Surpasses Traffic Projections
During the month of January 2013, 247Sports recorded 1.801 million unique visitors according to ComScore (third-party verified), up from 535,000 in January 2012 for a 237% increase YOY. April 15: 247Sports Releases PDB 2.0 featuring Crystal Ball & Recruiter Rankings
247Sports released Player Database 2.0 featuring Crystal Ball and Recruiter Ranking. The Crystal Ball is the first-ever commitment prediction engine from the industry's top recruiting analysts. The revolutionary Crystal Ball seeks to accurately predict future destinations of recruits and will also be used to rank and rate the industry's top recruiting analyst. 247Sports also released the Recruiter Ranking, a computer generated ranking of the top assistant football coaches based on their ability to land top prospects.
May 7: 247Sports announces partnership with U.S. Army All-American Bowl
247Sports and All American Games sign long-term agreement for 247Sports to be the official online selection partner for the U.S. Army All-American Bowl and the U. S. Army National Combine and receive exclusive media and data rights.
May 14: 247Sports partners with CBSSports.com
CBS Interactive and 247Sports today announced that 247Sports will become the official recruiting partner of CBSSports.com. CBSSports.com will incorporate 247Sports features including team and player rankings such as the 247Composite Team Recruiting Ranking, Crystal Ball commitment prediction engine, Recruiter Rankings, Top 247, news, analysis, and more. “247Sports’ founders are leaders in the recruiting space, and we’re thrilled to partner more closely with them to deliver the highest quality recruiting content to our audience,” said Jason Kint, Senior Vice President and General Manager of CBSSports.com.
