A native of Nigeria, Aruna has only played football for one year.
LaPorte (Ind.) La Lumiere School senior defensive end Ade Aruna is headed to Rutgers this weekend for an official visit and it appears the Scarlet Knights may have a chance to flip the Tulane commit.
"I talked to him briefly this morning before he got in the car to head to Midway (airport)," La Lumiere head coach Art Walker said. "He's excited about the visit there and a lot more will be known Sunday evening.
"I know hes still very high on Tulane and he's really impressed with the Rutgers coaching staff. I believe those were the two highest on his list. I believe those are the two schools that have impressed the most."
The 6-foot-6, 230-pound Aruna took an official visit to N.C. State last weekend. Southern Miss, UAB and Massachusetts have also offered.
A native of Nigeria, Aruna has only played football one year after basketball actually being the sport that brought him to the United States. As a senior he registered 75 tackles, seven sacks, two forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. He is ranked by 247Sports as the state's No. 12 prospect overall.
