Class of 2015 Tennessee defensive end commit Andrew Butcher says schools are still reaching out to him.
Andrew Butcher was at Tennessee's home game with Western Kentucky this past Saturday and plans to attend future games with Georgia, South Carolina and Vanderbilt. He is committed to the Vols.
“I’ve recently gotten contact from University Southern Cal, NC State, Mississippi State, Miami, Arkansas, Wisconsin, and Nebraska,” he said. “All through mail and messaging me on social networking sights from their defensive line and OLB coaches.”
The 6-foot-3, 235-pound strong-side defensive back is all Vols though, he said.
“I have no other school visits in the future, all Tennessee,” Butcher said. “I know for sure I’m going to Tennessee/Georgia, Tennessee/South Carolina and Tennessee/Vanderbilt as a recruit.”
The Peach state athlete attended Tennessee’s game Saturday against WKU as a recruit.
Butcher said he is a vocal recruiter for the Vols.
“I’m trying to recruit others to come with me to Tennessee,” Butcher said. “I’m just letting everyone know that Tennessee is the place to be.”
According to Butcher, he remains in constant contact with Tennessee.
“I talk with Tennessee once a week,” he said. “I’m closest with (Vols assistant) Steve Stripling. It’s just a really good relationship. We’re building up on it. I’ll call him once a week.”
Butcher is the No. 15 strongside defensive end prospect in the 2015 class according to 247Sports.
Tennessee has five verbal commitments for the 2015 cycle.
