Cornelius (N.C) William Amos Hough defensive end Blake Dueitt committed to Ball State on Sunday following a visit to the Muncie campus.
The 6-foot-2, 255-pound Dueitt chose the Cardinals over offers from Coast Carolina, Furman and Wofford.
"They were just real big on being a family," Dueitt said. "It was one of those things that both my mom and my dad were sure with the coaching staff that they could trust them."
Dueitt is the 10th commit for Ball State in the class-of-2013 and the third defensive linemen, joining Anthony Winbush and William Lee.
"The school is kind of a secret," Dueitt said. "You wouldn't think a school that small would be that nice. Every building, I think the longest walk is 10 minutes away from one place to another. The football facilities are amazing."
As a junior, Dueitt registered 47 tackles including 22 stops for loss and 10 sacks.
