Terre Haute (Ind.) South Vigo quarterback Danny Etling reported to 247Sports that he committed to Purdue on Tuesday evening.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound Etling is the top signal-caller in the state according to 247Sports and the No. 10 prospect overall. He chose the Boilermakers over offers from Colorado and Iowa.
Etling's cousin is former Purdue linebacker Joe Holland, and he's visited the West Lafayette campus several times in the past.
"Besides the tradition there quarterback wise, I went out on Easter and had a brunch with my whole family and Joe was there," Etling began. "He wasn't trying to push me, but I saw him and how great he turned out and thought If it works for him that well, that's how I want to be when I'm his age.
"Drew Brees is one of my favorite quarterbacks of all time," Etling continued. "So why not follow in his footsteps."
Iowa was the runner-up for Etling.
"It was the hardest thing I had to do in my life because Kirk Ferentz, ever since I started watching football, that was the type of coach I would want to play for. But Iowa ended up being too far way for me."
As a junior, Etling threw for 1,537 yards and nine touchdowns to just six interceptions in the state’s toughest conference.
Etling is the first commit for Purdue coach Danny Hope and his staff in 2013.
"They were pretty excited about it," Etling said. "Coach Hope said I almost gave them a heart attack waiting so long. They were very ecstatic about it. They were into it and happy for me."
