U.S. Army All-American cornerback Yuri Wright will look to rebuild his image at Colorado.
Ranked as the nation's No. 4 cornerback and No. 48 prospect overall, the former Ramsey (N.J.) Don Bosco Prep standout confirmed with 247Sports on Tuesday morning that he committed to the Buffaloes.
"I want to play for Coach (Greg) Brown and the whole Colorado staff," Wright said. He took his official visit to Boulder the weekend of Dec. 9. "I really liked it out there and me and my family talked about this and what we thought would be best."
The 6-foot-2, 180-pound Wright was one of the country's most sought after recruits, until he was expelled from Don Bosco last week for comments he made on Twitter.
Other schools that had offered Wright a scholarship included Alabama, Georgia, Miami, Michigan, Notre Dame, Rutgers, USC, Virginia and Wisconsin. The Irish were the leader for Wright's signature until the coaching staff chose to move in a different direction.
Wright is the 24th prospect to commit to Colorado in the class of 2012.
