Woodbridge (Va.) High five-star defensive end Da'Shawn Hand reported via his Twitter that he'll announce his college decision on Nov. 14 at his school.
Hand's 247Sports Crystal Ball currently favors Michigan.
The 6-foot-4, 254-pound Hand has a top three of Alabama, Florida and Michigan. He plans to take official visits to all three programs before deciding.
"Can't wait to get this over with," Hand added.
Ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's top strong-side defensive end and No. 4 prospect overall, Hand has just one official scheduled at this point, for Michigan, the weekend of Sept. 6 when the Wolverines host Notre Dame. Hand visited Ann Arbor back in March and he got a chance to see Alabama in July 2012.
"For him he’s done all the research he’s going to do on each school,” Woodbridge assistant coach John Harris said. “Now it’s lets see where I fit in the best. The reason he wants to take these officials, obviously academically and football wise, these are the three schools he likes the most, now it’s let’s see where I can live.”
Hand's 247Sports Crystal Ball currently reads in favor of Michigan at 65 percent. Alabama is in at 26 percent and Florida has eight percent.
Outside of his top three, Hand is also still considering LSU and USC.
An Under Armour All-American, Hand registered 78 tackles as a junior including 40 stops for loss and 16 sacks.
