In typical fashion, Louisville and Rutgers sit atop the class-of-2014 American Athletic Conference (a successor of the Big East Conference) recruiting standings.
According to the 247Composite, one would have to go back to 2009 to find a different program inside the top two, as South Florida finished first in the league that year and No. 25 nationally, with a class that was headlined by defensive ends Ryne Giddins and current New York Giants All-Pro Jason Pierre-Paul. No surprise that year that Rutgers and Louisville finished two-three.
