Demetrius Cherry has committed to Arizona State.
Arizona State picked up a commitment from junior college defensive end Demetrius Cherry (Contra Costa College) on Monday.
The 6-foot-6, 265-pounder picked the Sun Devils over Iowa State, Illinois and Michigan State, among others.
Cherry, who is rated an 86 (three stars) is the nation’s No. 96 junior college prospect according to 247Sports.
Cherry is commitment No. 17 for Arizona State. The Sun Devils now have the nation’s No. 39 recruiting class according to the 247Sports team football recruiting rankings for the Class of 2013.
