Purdue was the first school to find Chicago (Ill.) Robeson running back Devon Sanders, the first school to offer, and they could soon land his commitment following his Wednesday visit to the Boilermakers campus.
“Maybe a couple days,” Sanders said about a possible verbal, adding that he could also wait until the middle of the season.
As a junior, Sanders carried the football 200 times for 1,538 yards and 26 touchdowns. This was his first-ever trip to West Lafayette.
“It was great,” Sanders stated. “I liked everything. The buildings are next to each other so I wouldn’t have to travel far. I want to major in sports management and they have that major at their school.
“The coaches were great,” Sanders continued. “The football program is great. We got to see the field today and stand on it. It was a great experience.”
