Four-star PG Dom Collier
One of the top point guard's in the 2014 class, Dominique Collier committed to Colorado on Tuesday evening. The Denver (CO) native choose Tad Boyle and the Buffaloes over offers from Gonzaga, Arizona, Kansas State and Iowa among others.
For the 6-foot-2, four-star point guard, his relationship and the progress of the Buffaloes under Boyle, who has reached consecutive NCAA Tournaments was instrumental in his decision.
“I chose them because i felt like I fit in the best there,” Collier told 247Sports. “I really like the coaching staff and the way Tad (Boyle) turned the program around!
Collier also cited the style of play that the Buffaloes play with as a big reason for his commitment on Tuesday night.
“I think I will fit in well because they play a fast tempo game,” he said. “I like to play at a fast pace and I think I would fit in well.”
Collier is the first commitment for Colorado in the class of 2014. He is rated as a the 18th best point guard in the country and 79th best player regardless of position. Collier carries an overall grade of 92 by 247Sports.
