Grayson Allen Commits To Duke

6'3 2014 Grayson Allen Dominating in State...

Eleven days ago, Mike Krzyzewski, Steve Wojciechowski and Jeff Capel conducted an in-home visit with 2013 Shooting Guard prospect Grayson Allen. During the visit, the Blue Devils offered Grayson a scholarship that he simply could not turn down.

Last year, when Grayson truly arrived on the scene at Big Shots Clemson, he was asked what his dream school was. Immediately, he responded "DUKE!" Allen is a versatile combo guard, who plays some point guard but is a more natural shooting guard. With the departure of Tyler Thornton after next season, and likely Rasheed Sulaimon as well, Allen will battle incoming freshman Matt Jones for playing time at the 2-guard position.

Look for Duke to add another wing in this class to pair with a point guard (top prospect Tyus Jones), a center (top prospect Jahlil Okafor) and a power forward (top prospect Kevon Looney). Still, this is a great start to the class and a position where there wouldn't be much depth after the departure of Rasheed Sulaimon.

In the industry-averaged 247Composite, Allen has a 98.71 rating, which is equivalent to 5-Stars. He is regarded as the 8th-best shooting guard in this class and the 3rd-best player in the state of Florida. Grayson plays with the Southern Stampede travel team with fellow Duke prospect Jalen Lindsey. will have two reporters at he second session of the Nike EYBL this weekend at the Boo Williams Sportsplex in Hampton, Virginia. There's good discussion on Grayson and more Duke prospects on our message boards. Check them out below.
