Dwayne Morgan turned down local schools for UNLV.
Class of 2014 four-star prospect Dwayne Morgan can now focus on his game and his academics after ending his recruitment today.
Morgan, a 6-7, 180-pound small forward from Baltimore (Md.) St. Frances Academy, cut his list to Georgetown, Maryland and Georgetown before announcing his commitment to UNLV at a press conference.
A steady and prolonged recruiting effort by UNLV along with some strong ties to the Baltimore area helped the Running Rebels overcome the two local schools.
Both Roscoe Smith and Daquan Cook, who are from the Baltimore area, are on the UNLV roster. In addition assistant coach Heath Schroyer is from the Baltimore area.
Morgan, the No. 39 ranked prospect by 247Sports and the No. 22 ranked prospect in the 247Composite, is the first recruit in UNLV's 2014 class.
