LAKE BARRINGTON, Ill. – The Elite 11 Regional Quarterback camp hits the Chicago area on Friday evening, bringing in some of the nation’s top signal-callers not just from the Midwest, but from around the country as well.
Kyle Allen has seen his recruitment pick up speed with offers coming from Notre Dame and Ohio State this week.
Kyle Allen: The Scottsdale (Ariz.) Desert Mountain passer checks in as the nation’s No. 5 pro-style quarterback and No. 50 prospect overall according to 247Sports. Notre Dame and Ohio State are the latest programs to offer the 6-foot-3, 185-pound Allen, who will visit Wisconsin this weekend. Other schools to extend a scholarship, that Allen has high interest in, includes Arizona, Arizona State, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, West Virginia and UCLA.
Drew Barker: The nation’s No. 7 pro-style quarterback and No. 108 prospect overall out of Hebron (Ky.) Conner has a top two of Kentucky and South Carolina and is closing in on a college decision.
Chris Durkin: Headed to Michigan State, the four-star passer is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 14 pro-style quarterback.
Tyler Harris: Ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 8 pro-style quarterback and No. 129 prospect overall, the 6-foot-3, 205-pound Harris holds offers from Alabama, Mississippi State and South Florida among others.
Rafe Peavey: The Bolivar (Mo.) High standout is the country’s No. 8 dual-threat quarterback according to 247Sports. He is committed to Arkansas.
Clayton Thorson: Headed to Northwestern, the Wheaton (Ill.) North four-star is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 11 pro-style quarterback and No. 232 prospect overall.
2015 QB Drew Lock already has an offer from Missouri.
Darrell Colbert Jr: The Houston (Texas) Lamar dual-threat quarterback is committed to SMU.
Jake Kolbe: The Naperville (Ill.) Central quarterback has offers from Central Michigan and Toledo.
Drew Lock: The 2015 quarterback out of Lees Summit (Mo.) Senior already has an offer from the in-state Tigers.
Nick Mitchell: The Snoqualmie (Wash.) Mount Si quarterback is committed to Oregon State.
James Morgan: A 2015 quarterback to watch out of Green Bay (Wis.) Ashwaubenon.
David Morrison: Perhaps the top quarterback prospect in the state of Indiana, the Fort Wayne (Ind.) Concordia standout has committed to Ball State.
Anthony Ratliff: A 2015 quarterback for powerhouse Matthews (N.C.) Butler.
Landon Root: Tulsa has an offer out to the Wichita (Kan.) Collegiate School passer.
Trent Sherfield: One of the state’s top athletes, the Danville (Ill.) High dual-threat quarterback could also play defensive back on the next level and holds offers from Indiana and Northern Illinois.
Luke Ward: Out of Decaturville (Tenn.) Riverside, Ward is the nation’s No. 16 pro-style passer according to the 247Composite.
Jon Wassink: Helped lead Grand Rapids (Mich.) South Christian to a state championship as a sophomore, completing 67 percent of his passes for 2,368 yards and 18 touchdowns. Added another six rushing scores.
Brady White: A talented 2015 signal-caller out of Newhall (Calif.) Hart that passed for 2,474 yards and 17 touchdowns in the fall.
