Rancho Cucamonga (Calif.) four-star defensive back Chris Hawkins has decided he is ready to make his commitment. The 6-foot-0, 175-pound prep will be participating in a big track event on Saturday but plans to announce a college after.
The Nation's No. 214 ranked prospect has offers from around the country which includes Florida, Notre Dame and Stanford among many.
This weekend, he confirmed via text, he is set to decide among six finalists.
Stanford, Cal, UCLA, Michigan, Oklahoma and Notre Dame are the schools he will decide among.
Despite the early commitment, Hawkins will continue to take other visits after giving his verbal pledge.
Indications are the Cardinal of Stanford have the upper hand in his commitment. Although nothing is certain in recruiting, Stanford has had the upper hand for quite some time now.
His teammate and close friend, Tahaan Goodman will be at Arizona State for their junior day on Saturday. The two have talked openly about playing together in college, however Stanford has not offered Goodman.
