Scott is rated as the No 1 outside linebacker prospect in America in the Class of 2014 by the 247Composite, which weighs equally the rankings and ratings of recruiting media outlets, including 247Sports.
247Sports ranks Scott as the No. 2 outside linebacker prospect nationally for the Class of 2014 and rates him a 97, which equates to a high four-star prospect.
Scott is commitment No. 5 in the 2014 class for Texas A&M. Clarence McKinney recruited him for the Aggies.
