Illinois Visitors: Indiana Game

It’s homecoming at Illinois this weekend as the Illini get set to host Big Ten foe Indiana.

Illinois was the first program to offer Clifton Garrett back in May.

Illinois is also set to host a few key recruiting targets in Champaign.

Headliners

Joliet (Ill.) Plainfield South Top50 linebacker Clifton Garrett is the top-ranked prospect in the state according to 247Sports in the class-of-2014. Besides Illinois, the 6-foot-2, 215-pound Garrett holds offers from the likes of Michigan State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Oklahoma, Ole Miss, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Bolingbrook (Ill.) High Top247 cornerback Parrker Westphal is the No. 5 prospect in the state according to 247Sports. The Illini are one of many to offer along with Florida, Michigan, Michigan State, Iowa, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Purdue and West Virginia. A teammate of Illinois class-of-2013 commit Aaron Bailey, Westphal previously visited Champaign for the Penn State game on Sept. 29.

-Glenbrook (Ill.) North Top247 junior running back Justin Jackson was going to attend before finding out his playoff game was scheduled for Saturday night.

-Blue Springs (Mo.) High junior running back Dalvin Warmack is having a big junior season, averaging nearly 10-yards per carry in racking up 1,566 yards and 27 touchdowns. He’s added another 232 yards receiving and five scores for an 8-1 football team.

-New Lenox (Ill.) Lincoln-Way Central senior defensive end Evan Panfil has nine offers, and remains on the Illini’s radar.

-Naperville (Ill.) Central junior quarterback Jake Kolbe impressed on the 7-on-7 circuit during the summer and piqued the interest of Illinois during a camp this summer.

-Dayton (Ohio) Kettering Fairmont offensive tackle Jeff Duncan has been attracting a lot of BCS interest this fall.
