Peppers is the nation's No. 4 prospect overall.
Paramus (N.J.) Catholic five-star athlete Jabrill Peppers will announce his college decision on May 26.
Michigan appears to be the leader with Penn State also in the mix. Peppers will visit the Nittany Lions campus this weekend. He’ll also take a visit to a surprise school next week before deciding on Memorial Day weekend.
“He wants to do it before we start practice in June,” Paramus Catholic head coach Chris Partridge said. “He wants to be done with it and put it behind him so he can get ready for our season and his senior football season with us. He wants to be 100 percent focused and worry just about school and football.”
Stanford no longer appears to be in the picture for Peppers, who is ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's top athlete prospect and No. 4 player overall. LSU and Ohio State were also in the mix at one time.
Recruited as a cornerback, Peppers first visited Penn State back on Feb. 20. Michigan made a major move with him and his teammate, current Top247 offensive tackle Juwann Bushell-Beatty, on their visit to Ann Arbor on April 3.
In helping lead his team to a state championship as a junior, Peppers registered 77 tackles, three interceptions and a forced fumble on defense while adding 1,552 yards rushing and 18 touchdowns on offense. He also had five receiving scores.
