Rolling Meadows (Ill.) High quarterback Jack Milas was offered by and committed to Ball State on Wednesday evening.
The 12th commit for the Cardinals in the class-of-2013 and the first quarterback, the 6-foot-2, 193-pound Milas was also hearing from Bowling Green, Central Michigan and Western Michigan.
As a junior, Milas completed 220-of-323 passes for 2,730 yards and 29 touchdowns to just eight interceptions.
“The thing that makes him so good, his accuracy makes him so good,” Rolling Meadows coach Matt Mishler said. “He has more than a strong enough arm. He’s real good at knowing where to go with the football. He just gets it. He gets football. He thinks the game real well.”
Milas took over as the starter at Rolling Meadows three games into his sophomore year.
“You could tell he was a natural,” Mishler said. “Just a natural. In the pocket he was really good. Great release already.”
Milas is the third Ball State commit out of the state of Illinois in this class, joining offensive linemen Jarrid Lloyd and Pat Maloney.
