Lockett could be close to new offers from UCLA and Vanderbilt.

Recently Lockett traveled North to Seattle to visit Washington for their junior day. The visit left an impression on him.

"I really like the campus and the field, I was real impressed with Washington," Lockett said. "I spent a lot of time talking to the DB coach (Keith Heyward) 1-on-1 and he definitely let me know they like me. It was a great visit."

In the past, USC has had success at Mater Dei. The Trojans have made an early impression on Lockett as well.

"USC is recruiting me pretty heavy right now," he said. "That's definitely one school I'd like to get an offer from. Hopefully I can get over there and check it out soon."

Oregon, UCLA and Vanderbilt are also showing high interest in the three-star corner.

"I think UCLA and Vanderbilt are close to offering. There's a few coaches I need to call back and those are a couple of them. Oregon is coming around too. I'm definitely excited to see things take off and earn some more offers."

Lockett said he is working on his press technique and overall speed. Coaches have commented on his coverage and ability to make up ground in the secondary.
