It's coming down to the wire int he recruiting game. The dead period will be a bit of a wrinkle for college coaches as it extends to mid-January, leaving only a few weeks until signing day.
Can Oregon make its move for WR Frank Iheanacho?
Most of the Pac-12 is having pretty big visit weekends. While the numbers may vary at each school, there are important visitors for the coaches to work on.
This weekend may be especially important for the JUCO players planning to enroll mid-year.
Here's a recap of most schools and the visitors they will be hosting.
It's not a big weekend for Oregon in terms of numbers but some important names will be in Eugene. None of the expected visitors are committed giving Oregon a chance to make a late splash.
Oregon seems to be in a good spot with each visitor. For Iheanacho this will be his last trip before announcing at the Army game. Bailey and Gates will be in play for the final offensive line spot at Oregon.
Oregon State is looking good for OL Kolton Miller.
Who isn't visiting Washington State might be a shorter list. The Wazzu staff is pulling out all of the stops with a long list of visitors.
Some of the expected names that are not already committed include: Kaleb McGary, Devante Downs, Olajuwon Tucker, Marcus Griffin, Squally Canada, Sione Takitaki, Kalani Vakameilalo and Kingston Fernandez.
From that list Canada has a great chance to solidify a commitment this weekend.
It won't be a big group in terms of numbers for Oregon State but some quality in the two visitors.
Keep tabs on Corvallis this weekend as there could be some big news.
Will Washington flip Jalen Greene this weekend?
After a rough season Cal is hoping to finish strong. This weekend they will host a slew of JUCO targets as they hope to clean house and build depth.
The Bears could make a splash with many of these targets and make a push on the recruiting trail with signing day closing.
Like Oregon State, Washington isn't hosting numbers but quality. The Huskies have had their share of news this week and could end with great news this weekend.
Boise State QB commit Jalen Greene will take a visit. He was offered by the new staff and is a clear priority.
Former Boise State commit Jaylen Johnson is also visiting Washington. It's easy to think the Huskies could go 2-fer with these two targets.
UCLA is trending for LB Dwight Williams who visits this weekend.
Like others on this list, UCLA is hosting a small but important group. The visit is headlined by 247Sports Composite 5-star Solomon Thomas. Can the Bruins make a move for an elite defensive end this weekend?
Along with Thomas, the Bruins will host Dwight Wiliams whom they are trending for. Keep tabs on these two visitors at UCLA this weekend.
Steve Sarkisian has some important work to get done this weekend. The Trojans are hosting three official visitors but each is important.
The only expected non-committed official visit is Don Hill. that's an interesting twist considering Hill was a long time Husky commit while Sarkisian was on staff. He's hoping to enroll early so this one could wrap up quickly.
The Cats are staying on the prowl as they lead the conference with top class honors. Some of the expected names are Jamie Byrd, Kaige Lawrence, Antonio Smothers, Josh Black and Patrick Glover. Most are committed but Josh Black is not and could be a real chance for the staff to make their move here.
Arizona is running out of room in this class as the numbers get tight.
