Greenwood (Ind.) Center Grove offensive tackle Skylar Lacy was back at Louisville on Saturday for the Cardinals spring game.

“It was cool,” Lacy said. “It really just made me realize how good they’re doing recruiting. Seeing some of the kids that were there, it was cool recognizing a lot of the kid’s names. I got to meet (Louisville class of 2012 signee) Sid (Anvoots) and I met (class of 2013 quarterback commit) Kyle Bolin for the first time. It was real cool and it made me find out the type of people that the coaching staff is recruiting.”
The coaching staff is also recruiting the 6-foot-8, 290-pound Lacy hard. The Cardinals were the first program to offer back in March and have since been joined by Ball State. Indiana, Purdue and Wisconsin are among the other programs showing interest.
This was Lacy’s second visit to Louisville since he’s been extended a scholarship, and the school is definitely high on his list.
“The players get after it,” he said. “The fans were cool. The fans were a lot more into it than I expected. They were chanting. It was nice. It just made me wonder how it feels sold out with 55,000 people there. It was loud with the 5,000 people they had there. I liked the fan support.”
Lacy got some time with the Louisville coaches before leaving.
“I talked with Coach (Vance) Bedford and Coach (Dave) Borbely. They were just talking about how they were going to come see me in April.”
Lacy is planning on visiting Wisconsin this week.
