Southfield (Mich.) High junior defensive end prospect Lawrence Marshall is having a fine season.
Marshall has over 25 tackles and six sacks through six games this fall.
College recruiters have begun to notice.
Through six games this fall, the 6-foot-4, 205-pound Marshall has registered over 25 tackles and six sacks. This past weekend he landed his first two scholarship offers from Bowling Green and San Diego State.
“It’s very exciting,” Marshall said. “I’m very happy. Something I always wished for.”
Other schools showing interest in Marshall includes Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan State, Syracuse and West Virginia. He visited the Spartans campus on Sept. 15 for the Notre Dame game and this past Saturday he was at Bowling Green.
“Michigan State was nice,” Marshall said. “The fans, the weight room, everything was nice up there.
“I liked the atmosphere and the coaches at Bowling Green.”
Marshall said he grew up a fan of both Michigan and Michigan State. He added that he does not have any future visits scheduled.
