Martin committed to Toledo on Monday.
The Toledo Rockets continued a strong run in Maryland's Class of 2013 with a commitment from Forestville (Md.) Bishop McNamara defensive back Jordan Martin.
The three-star prospect, ranked No. 25 in the state by 247Sports, picked the Rockets over Massachusetts. The 6-foot-2, 198-pound prospect will play cornerback at Toledo.
"I wanted to be a part of an up and rising program that was successful on the field and academically," Martin said. "I wanted to go where I was loved by the coaching staff and they would help me become a better player."
The Rockets have picked up three prospects from Maryland in the class in the last month, adding commitments from four-star outside linebacker Delando Johnson and three-star safety Kennedy Frazier from Calvert Hall in Towson.
Martin said he's happy to share the field with players from his home area.
"It's a great feeling to play with guys from the area," he said. "Because the coaches believe in the talent down here. Being able to play with players that I played against back home is a great feeling."
Martin was recruited for the Rockets by cornerbacks coach D.K. McDonald. He took his official visit to Toledo on the weekend of November 30.
