Memphis held off a host of schools to land hometown star Nick King.
The 6-7, 220-pound small forward out of Memphis (Tenn.) East High School chose his hometown school over Tennessee, Texas and Vanderbilt.
He announced his decision this morning at a press conference at his school.
An athletic left-hander, King is ranked No. 48 by 247Sports but has a 247Composite ranking of 27.
He joins fellow four-star Memphis prospect Markel Crawford in the 2013 Memphis recruiting class.
