Wilkes Barre (Pa.) Coughlin defensive end Anthony Khalife hit the road this weekend to check out Junior Day at Connecticut.
"I had a great visit and was very impressed with the entire campus and football program," he said. "We're hoping to get back down there for a spring practice or the spring game. Next weekend we're headed to Maryland."
The 6-foot-4, 235-pound junior is still looking for his first offer, and hopes that Paul Pasqualoni and the Huskies will come along after getting a closer look this summer.
"After the day was over I talked to the head coach. He said that I was high up on their list and they want me to come camp in the summer so they can have a more personal observation," he said. "Then from there they'll see if they're going to offer. I don't think they offered anyone at the Junior Day."
Khalife previously attended a Junior Day at Pittsburgh and will visit Maryland next weekend.
