
A source with knowledge of the situation reported to 247Sports that Miami (Fla.) Norland defensive end Paul James has committed to Illinois.
The 6-foot-2, 240-pound James took an official visit to Champaign the weekend of Jan. 18 and is ranked by the 247Composite as the nation's No. 15 weak-side defensive end.
James chose Illinois over his other two finalists Louisville and West Virginia.
The 26th commit for the Illini in the class-of-2013, James also had offers from the likes of Florida State, Kansas, Kentucky, Miami, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Tennessee and Texas A&M.
