Penn State nabs third three-star

Penn State's first two commitments in the 2013 class came from Pennsylvania. The third commitment hails all the way from the Left Coast.

Versatile and physical forward Payton Banks from Orange (Calif.) Lutheran High School has pledged to Penn State.

Banks also considered offers from the likes of Auburn, Nevada, Oregon State, Pepperdine and others.

Banks joins other three-star prospects Geno Thorpe, a point guard, and Julian Moore, a center, in the Penn State 2013 recruiting class.
