Following a weather postponement on Friday night, two of Maryland's top programs were forced to play on Monday afternoon. Gilman, ranked No. 1 by The Baltimore Sun, was able to overcome a five-point halftime deficit to get the win over No. 2 Calvert Hall.
Gilman was led by Maryland-bound quarterback Shane Cockerille, future Michigan Wolverine Henry Poggi, Virginia commit Micah Kiser and a wealth of underclassmen, including cornerback Troy Vincent, linebacker Melvin Keihn and freshman defensive tackle Ellison Jordan.
Calvert Hall featured four-star athlete Delando Johnson as well as a few underclassmen to remember like 2015 cornerback Dionte Austin and 2016 defensive end Rahshaun Smith.
