Detroit (Mich.) Country Day defensive tackle Poet Thomas announced his college decision on National Signing Day.
"I have official committed to the university of Texas Tech," Thomas posted on his Facebook.
Thomas chose the Red Raiders over his other finalist Arkansas Pine-Bluff.
Other programs to offer the 6-foot-6, 280-pound Thomas includes Akron, Colorado, Eastern Michigan, Kansas, Old Dominion, SMU and Toledo.
