Julius Randle is on top of the class of 2013 individual player rankings in this release.
Today, 247Sports and PrepStars.com are proud to unveil the top 15 prospects in the class of 2013. While the class of 2012 featured a group of elite centers near the top of the rankings, this group is top-heavy on the perimeter.
"The Class of 2013 looks very strong at the top through this early stage," Rob Harrington of PrepStars.com said. "But there's plenty of wide open space after the established elite prospects."
One of those elite prospects is Julius Randle, who begins this rankings process as the top player in the class. He is followed by small forward Jabari Parker, center Nerlens Noel, shooting guard Andrew Harrison and power forward Chris Walker in the top five.
Although Randle holds the No. 1 spot now, it doesn't mean he'll finish at the top when all is said and done.
"There's no consensus yet on the No. 1 player in the class," Harrington said. "While we prefer Randle, arguments certainly can be made for others - including Parker."
Of the top 15 players in the class, only five are post players - either power forwards or centers.
PrepStars.com and 247Sports will update the rankings of the 2012 and 2013 classes throughout the recruiting cycle.
