Productive spring for Wes Brown

Olney (Md.) Good Counsel running back Wes Brown is one of the top big backs in the country, as evidenced by his Top247 ranking. This spring, he took his offer list to the next level with several new suitors.

Brown added several offers this spring.

"Florida State, Miami, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Michigan, Michigan State, Mississippi State, Georgia Tech, USC, Purdue, Colorado, Iowa, N.C. State, Rutgers, Syracuse and Tennessee," he listed when asked about his latest offers.

The 6-foot, 200-pound rising senior added to previous scholarships from Boston College, Illinois, Maryland, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Virginia, Virginia Tech, West Virginia and others.

After a spring without much traveling, Brown plans to hit the road this summer.

"I am going to visit LSU, FSU, Tennessee and while I'm there I"ll visit Vandy and maybe Syracuse," he said.

Brown ran for over 600 yards on just 80 carries as a junior after missing over half of the season with a broken fibula. He helped lead Good Counsel to its second straight WCAC title.

Though he carries a lofty ranking, Brown said he still has plenty to prove.

"I don't want to be ranked or classified just yet, four games strong, but something was wrong. I've got to much to prove and I'll show them this year why I'm the best back I can be."
