Drew Barker accounted for more than 3,000 total yards in 2012.
The four-star quarterback will get his wish.
Barker, a 6-feet-4, 210-pounder from Hebron (Ky.) Conner, received an invitation to the prestigious game Thursday morning, and Thursday evening he announced he would play in the event.
"It will definitely be cool to follow in the footsteps of the guys that played in it," Barker said. "I've watched that game since I was little."
Barker described the honor like this -- "It's like getting your first offer."
Admittedly, the invitation caught him a little off guard.
"I didn't go to the combine or anything," Barker said. "It's kind of a shock."
Barker is ranked as the No. 91 overall prospect and No. 6 pro-style quarterback in the 247Composite. He passed for 2,072 yards and 22 touchdowns in 2012 while adding another 1,455 yards on the ground.
Barker claims to have no leader, but said that Kentucky, Louisville, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Vanderbilt stand out.
He plans to visit South Carolina next weekend, and Tennessee in early April.
Barker would like to have a school chosen by sometime in May.
