Ricky Seals-Jones committed to Texas A&M on Monday.
Texas A&M continued its recent run of success both on and off the field as five-star athlete Ricky Seals-Jones (Sealy, Texas) committed to the Aggies over LSU during an announcement at his high school Monday morning. The 6-foot-5, 230-pounder will start his career at wide receiver for Texas A&M. He was recruited to College Station by Aggies running backs coach Clarence McKinney.
Seals-Jones is commitment No. 34 for Texas A&M, the 24th from the state of Texas. The Aggies are No. 7 nationally in the 247Sports Team Recruiting Rankings for the 2013 class.
Seals-Jones committed to Texas on Feb. 22, then backed out of his pledge to the Longhorns on June 5. Texas eventually moved on and stopped recruiting the jumbo athlete.
Seals-Jones is ranked as the No. 19 overall prospect, the No. 1 athlete and the No. 1 overall prospect in the state of Texas according to 247Sports According to the recruiting industry-generated 247Composite, which weighs equally the rankings and ratings of recruiting media networks, Seals-Jones is No. 13 overall, the top athlete and the top prospect in Texas. 247Sports rates him a 98, which equates to five stars. His 247Composite rating of 0.9903 also equates to five stars.
