Frazier delays decision

Frazier will be counted on for immediate scoring help.

A Texas school was going to be the happy recipient of a Keith Frazier commitment today, but Frazier has instead decided to postpone his announcement.

SMU, Texas Tech and Texas A&M are the finalist for Frazier, a 6-5, 185-pound shooting guard out of Irving (Texas) Kimball High School.

The uncertain future of Coach Chris Walker at Texas Tech is the reason for the delay. Frazier, who has a strong relationship with Walker, is waiting to see if he is retained as head coach after serving as interim head coach this past season.

Most consider Frazier's recruitment as a dual between Texas Tech and SMU, with the proximity to his home as the major draw to SMU.

Ranked the No. 37 prospect by 247Sports and the No. 30 ranked prospect in the 247Composite, Frazier is slated to play in the McDonald's All American Game on April 3. He is not expected to announce his college decision until some time after that date.

Frazier is known for his athleticism and shooting ability.
