The Ball State football program got better on Wednesday.
The Cardinals landed commitments from Tampa (Fla.) Gaither receiver Shug Oyegunle and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M JUCO offensive lineman P.J. Scott.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pound Oyegunle chose the Cardinals over offers from the likes of Florida Atlantic, Western Michigan and Navy. He took his official visit to the Muncie, Ind. campus last weekend. As a senior, Oyegunle caught 21 passes for 468 yards and seven touchdowns. He also rushed 36 times for 227 yards and a score.
Scott landed at Northeastern Oklahoma A&M by way of Morris, Okla. He was a Second Team National Junior College Athletic Association All-American in 2012. The 6-foot-3, 290-pound Scott can play all three offensive line positions and will have two years of eligibility remaining when he enrolls at Ball State in the fall.
Oyegunle and Scott give Ball State 20 commits in the class-of-2013.
