Wide receiver Dan Monteroso has confirmed with 247Sports that he committed to Boston College on Saturday. The 6-3, 180-pounder out of St. Clairesville (Ohio) High School becomes the 10th verbal pledge of Boston College's 2013 class.
"I like the coaches and everything, and I felt it in my heart," Monteroso said. "It felt best for me. And a degree from Boston College is very important for me."
Monteroso ultimately selected Boston College over Iowa. He took his first-ever visit to Boston College on Wednesday after visiting Iowa on June 22. Ohio and Bowling Green had also offered.
"I like the City of Boston," Monteroso said. "I like living in the city and getting the best of both worlds. The campus is away from the town, but not too far, so you get a little college life and a little city life."
Monteroso received a three-star rating with an overall grade of 87 from 247Sports.
