Stephen Hurt has plenty of high major interest.
Northwest Florida State College head coach Steve Forbes has always seen a talented basketball player in Stephen Hurt. The 16 high major schools who requited his transcript see a a player in him now as well.
At 6-10, 275-pounds, Hurt is a Dexter Pitman type big man. His body is developing into better shape, he has great hands and has shooting touch.
Hurt, who transferred to Northwest Florida State College after playing his freshman year at Lipscomb, will have two years of eligibility after this year.
Most notable from his freshman season are the three double-doubles he registered against Kentucky, Memphis and Ole Miss.
Last weekend Hurt unofficially visited Tennessee. On Wednesday of this week he will unofficially visit Indiana.
Arizona, Miami and Ole Miss are safe to put on the offer list along with Indiana and Tennessee. Forbes feels that most of the other schools interested in Hurt also have offered as well.
Those schools include Kansas, Florida, Louisville, Marquette, Texas, South Carolina, Oklahoma State, Baylor, North Carolina State, Cincinnati and VCU.
