Jullian Taylor is a 6-foot-5, 225-pounder with plenty of athletic upside.
If you are looking for a sleeper jumbo athlete in the Philadelphia area, look no further than tight end Jullian Taylor (Abington, Pa.).
The 6-foot-5, 225-pounder was impressive from an athletic standpoint at the Next Level Nation five-star showcase last Saturday in the D.C. area and followed that up with an solid round of testing at the Nike Sparq Combine in Philadelphia, including an overall score of 67.62- one of the best among the tight ends at the event (he measured in at exactly 6 feet 5 inches and 225 pounds).
Taylor is an interesting athlete that’s just popping on the recruiting radar because he hasn’t always enjoyed “jumbo athlete” status. He’s grown six inches in the past year and a half.
Virginia, Duke and Villanova are among the programs that Taylor has early interest in. More programs, including Temple, Penn State, Rutgers and others could jump in with interest soon.
“The school’s education that it provides, social life and the football team all are things that I am going to be looking at when I go to decide on a school,” he said.
There is limited film on him and of course, the game in pads is what matters, but Taylor’s athleticism impressed us enough that he makes a debut with an overall rating of 78 (high two stars) on 247Sports.
