DeShawn Capers-Smith puts Texas A&M back at No. 1.
In a somewhat ironic twist from a geography standpoint, Texas A&M reclaimed the No. 1 spot from LSU in the 247Sports team recruiting rankings for the Class of 2015 during the weekend by landing a cornerback from New Orleans- Deshawn Capers-Smith of Warren Easton.
It was commit No. 8 and the first out-of-state pledge for the Aggies for this cycle and gives Texas A&M 174.07 points to 164.68 for the now No. 2 Tigers. Texas A&M’s class has an average 247Sports Composite rating of 0.9382.
It’s way early, but a glance at the Texas A&M Crystal Ball predictions page shows us that the Aggies have a legitimate shot at landing the No. 1 class in 2015. Five-star prospects like cornerback Kendall Sheffield (100 percent), linebacker Malik Jefferson (73 percent) and wide receiver Christian Kirk (77 percent) all are early heavy predictions to the Aggies.
