247Sports has confirmed that Bellaire (Texas) High offensive tackle Dwayne Johnson gave his pledge to Purdue on Monday afternoon.
The 6-foot-6, 275-pound Johnson chose the Boilermakers over offers from Colorado, Kansas, SMU and Washington State among others.
Johnson is the 11th commit for Coach Danny Hope and his staff in the class-of-2013 and the second offensive tackle, joining Parker Cothren.
Boilermakers assistant coach Patrick Higgins was the lead recruiter for Johnson.
