Quaterman is a playmaker with length
On the heels of Jordan Mickey's commitment, LSU lands another four-star prospect Tim Quarterman.
At 6-6, 180-pounds, Quarterman can play any perimeter position, but the promise of early playing time at the point guard position was the major draw for Quarterman according to his travel team coach Emory Walton of the Atlanta Celtics.
Quarterman, who is from Savannah (Ga.) Johnson High School, saw his stock rise over the course of the summer. His game compare to former Ohio State and NBA player Evan Turner's style of play.
He chose LSU over the pursuit of George Mason, Miami, South Carolina and Alabama, who began a late pursuit after missing on multiple point guards.
Ranked No. 77 by 247Sports and No. 71 in the 247Composite, Quarterman was also intrigued by the opportunity to play with Mickey (No. 28 247Sports/ No. 29 247Composite).
