Mister is commit No. 10 for Iowa State in 2014.
Mister was excited about Michigan State until he had a conversation with the Iowa State blue-chip commit.
“I asked what number he was going to wear,” Mister recapped. “He said the number five. I said that’s the number I was looking at. He said you can have it. If it comes down to having you come here and me not wear number five it’s worth it. We talked about the school and the program and coaches and I said, you just made did a 180 for me on my decision.”
The 6-foot-2, 185-pound Mister is commit No. 10 for Paul Rhoads and his staff in the class-of-2014. He’ll play running back in Ames, but also was told he’ll be used anywhere in space on offense.
“Coach Rhoads is doing big things with the program and I look forward to coming in and doing my part,” Mister said. “(Running backs) Coach (Kenith) Pope is a great coach. He’s got so much experience. Coach Yancy (McKnight) the strength coach is a great guy and really knows what he’s doing.
“Then knowing I’ll be playing with Allen Lazard is a huge bonus and playing in the Big 12 against Texas and Oklahoma is going to be exciting.”
Mister is ranked by 247Sports as the nation’s No. 55 athlete recruit. Other programs to offer included Notre Dame, Illinois, Indiana and Kansas.
