Jones is a strong athlete
Missouri stretched its 2013 recruiting class to four with a commitment from power forward Torren Jones.
Originally from Chandler, Ariz., but now attending La Lumiere (Ind.) School, Jones is the second Missouri commitment in the past three days, following the commitment of four-star forward Johnathan Williams III.
At 6-8, 230-pounds, Jones is an athletic post player who began to hit his stride at the end of the travel team circuit this summer.
The diversity of Missouri's class is impressive. Four-star point guard Wesley Clark is a tough leader who excels at penetrating defenses. Three-star guard Travis Jorgenson is known for his scoring ability both off the catch and off the dribble. Johnathan Williams III is a long combo forward with a versatile skill package. And Torren Jones is an interior athlete.
Jones has a No. 92 247Sports ranking and a No. 144 247Composite ranking.
