Virginia Tech is on the board in 2013 with the commitment of post graduate post player Trevor Thompson.
Thompson, who is a 6-foot-10 center attending Delafield (Wisc.) St. John's Northwestern Military Academy, came into the July recruiting period with Ball State pursuing him vigorously in hopes he would qualify academically as a 2012 prospect.
Thompson, however, caught the eyes of high major coaches and opted to reclassify to 2013.
Virginia Tech took advantage of the opportunity and landed the shot blocking and mobile center.
Purdue and USC were also showing significant interest in Thompson who has a three-star rating of 88 by 247Sports.
