USC Poised for Top Class in '15

USC is still one of the heavyweights of college football. There are few schools that carry a heavy amount of weight with recruits when an offer is made.

Rasheem Green is a priority for USC in 2015.

The Trojans are still one of those programs.

The last few years USC hasn't had the success most were accustomed to under Pete Carroll and those before him. In addition to the mixed results on the field, sanctions limited the numbers the Trojans were able to bring in.

Even with limited scholarship numbers, USC was able to bring in the star power with a limited cap.

New head coach Steve Sarkisian has been given the keys to the Ferrari with a full tank of gas in '15. Credit Sarkisian and his staff with a torrid finish in '14 which put USC atop the Pac-12 recruiting rankings and No. 11 nationally. Being able to close with elite players such as John 'Juju' Smith, Adoree' Jackson, Bryce Dixon and Damien Mama will do that for a program.

This year USC is off to a big start with 5-star quarterback Ricky Town. That is likely to be only the start of a very big year for the Trojans.

Now USC has the ability to sign as many as 25 recruits in the 2015 class. And they already have many of the top players in 2015 hyped by the buzz.

Looking down the early list of crystal ball predictions is a key indication of what could be ahead for the Trojans. USC is the heavy favorite in the early stages for elite talent including John Houston, Rasheem Green, Iman Marshall, Jacob Daniel and dozens more.

USC Crystal Ball Predictions

As if USC needed any more help, however the West coast, particularly southern California, is absolutely loaded with elite talent in this cycle. There are elite players at nearly every position within a 100-mile radius for the Trojan staff.

Using the class calculator it's easy to see exactly how this class has the potential for a Top-3 finish or even better. Sarkisian and his team of ace-recruiters will have to be selective when making offers to keep room available for those elite players out West and nationally.

In my opinion, USC will finish with a Top-3 class or better on signing day.
